Teen’s feeling ride at home...
GOING FOR IT: William Frampton arrives at the top of the stairs
GOING FOR IT: William Frampton arrives at the top of the stairs

IT started as a joke between mates over a pint in the pub.

And within days motorcycle maniac Richard Frampton created the ultimate spoof video of his teenage son tearing through the inside of their family home on a trials motorbike.

A direct spoof of trials world champion Dougie Lampkin's amazing motorcycle stunt ride through Goodwood House at this year's Festival of Speed, the hilarious video features 19-year-old William Frampton jumping out the back of a Land Rover before riding the motorbike through the five-bedroom farmhouse.

Cameras follow the rider as he carefully navigates through the kitchen, dining and living room of the house before he tries to climb the stairs of the three-storey building on his Montessa trials bike.

"The stairs were just too steep and the bike kept going but he came flying off," said Richard, who is well known as a member of the Ringwood Motor Cycle Club committee for his wacky stunts, as well as a Bransgore parish councillor.

"The bit on the stairs left a big tyre mark on the wallpaper, but I won't paint over it - it's a bit of personal history now," he said.

Richard, 44, was joined by his friends including chairman of Sunseeker International Jonathan Macklin, who can be seen sitting up in bed with his wife Catherine as the bike goes through the master bedroom of the house in Bransgore in the New Forest. Also involved was friend Simon Smith, of Cubicle Systems in New Milton, who helped film the stunt on one of three cameras, including one stuck to William's helmet.

"It started over a pint in our local pub, and the more pints we had the more it seemed plausible," Richard said.

"My wife Karen was not happy about it at first but after a while we managed to talk her round.

"We are all a bit nutty in our free time," he added.

Richard and his son William are now planning to take a copy of the spoof film on a DVD and hand it to the 12-time world champion Dougie Lampkin when they meet him next month at an event in Yorkshire.where the trials rider will be giving lessons to motorbike fans "We can't wait to meet him and give him a copy of our version of what he did at Goodwood," said Richard.

"I'm sure he'll see the funny side."

William is an award winning trials and stunts rider.
