Riley hopeful of Corby result
 |
| OPTIMISTIC: Steve Riley |
STEVE Riley is "optimistic" about his Bashley side's chances against one of the Southern League Premier Division frontrunners tomorrow.
Bash welcome second-placed Corby Town to the Recreation Ground hoping to inflict just a second league defeat of the season on the in-form Northamptonshire side.
Corby, who have struggled against relegation for the past two seasons, narrowly escaping on both occasions, seem much more of a force this time round.
But on the back of last weekend's brilliant FA Cup win over Maidenhead United and Tuesday's victory at Winchester City, the New Foresters are in good spirits.
"They've got a strong side and signed quite a few players from King's Lynn in the close-season, so they've totally re-shaped their squad," said Riley.
"It's going to tough but if we play like we did last Saturday we'll be a good match for them.
"I think we'll have to be at our best if we're going to get anything from the game.
"But we've had a good week and can take lots of confidence into it."
Recent recruit Charlie Knight (hamstring) is doubtful but James Rowe (ankle) is expected to play.
Bashley: (from) Elm, Gazzard, Ferrett, Castle, Parnell, Knowles, Finlay, Rowe, Tarr, Gillespie, Keeler, Eastham, Hollick, Knight, Rose, Fisher, Sainsbury.
