Poole boss Killick hard to please
BOSS: Tom Killick
BOSS: Tom Killick

POOLE Town boss Tom Killick remains a hard man to please - even though his side cantered to victory over Romsey.

Goals from Luke Whitley, Micky Hubbard, Kevin Gill and Steve Smith saw the Tatnam table-toppers keep up the pace at the Wessex Premier Division summit on Saturday.

But despite the comfortable 4-0 winning margin, Killick struggled to pick out a good performer, opting to give credit to just one player - Whitley - for demonstrating his versatility.

Asked if there were any stand-out performers in his side, Killick said: "No. Luke Whitley played quite well because he's been playing out of position."

Poole Town: Harvell, Poore, Dibba, White, Browne (Sturgess, 60), Gill, Richardson, Hubbard, Whitley, Brown (S Smith, h-t), Austin (Swann, 65).

  • UNLUCKY Bournemouth Poppies were denied a rare victory as they conceded a last-gasp goal at Alton Town to draw 2-2, while in Wessex Division One, depleted Ringwood Town twice lost the lead as they went down 3-2 at Farnborough North End.

Other result, Dorset Senior Cup: Holt United 4 Verwood Town 0.
