Prices secures golden treble
TODD Price struck gold three times to lead a 19-medal haul from a nine-strong group of Ferndown Otters at Littlehampton SC's Development Chaser meet at Bognor Regis.
Price lopped six seconds off his personal best time to set an event best time (EBT) in the 12yrs 200m backstroke.
He also won the 100m backstroke and breaststroke.
Sammi Ledden, one of three Otters newcomers at Bognor, also set EBTs as she recorded two-second PBs in the 15yrs 100m and 200m breaststroke.
She also took silver in the 100m freestyle and backstroke.
Clodagh Dear's winning time in the 12yrs 200m breaststroke was an EBT and contributed to a personal tally that also included gold in the 200m freestyle and silver in the 200m medley.
Ellen Horner won a tight finish to take gold in the 14yrs 100m backstroke as well as silver medals in the 200m breaststroke and 200m medley.
Melissa Reardon had a medal-winning debut for Ferndown, taking silver in the 12yrs 100m breaststroke, bronze with a 17-second PB in the 200m breast and another bronze in the 100m freestyle.
Constance Reynolds, new to the country as well as the club, slashed her PBs to win silver in the 9yrs 50m freestyle and butterfly.
Bronze medals went to Lucy Kirkham thanks to a 10-second PB in the 12yrs 100m butterfly and Aaron Lee, who managed third in the 13yrs 200m IM despite having not fully recovered from flu.
