King of Kong (PG) ***
THERE'S nothing quite so ugly as an enraged geek. Since 1982 Billy Mitchell's high score on the Donkey Kong arcade machine was said to be impossible to beat. Twenty-odd years later, enter the recently redundant Steve Wiebe who dedicates his newfound spare time to trying to achieve the impossible.
Over the course of this rather entertaining documentary, Mitchell and Weibe provide us with clearly cut good-guy/bad-guy roles, with a supporting cast of interesting gaming enthusiasts. At one point Mitchell is described as the closest anyone has ever got to being a Jedi', so you get my drift.
The documentary itself could do with some tidying up, but the subject matter is engrossing.
