Over Her Dead Body (12) **

Demanding bride-to-be Kate (Eva Longoria Parker) dies on her wedding day, in the first few minutes of the action - and she's not the only casualty. You'll distinctly feel a few brain cells giving up the ghost as this lowest-common-denominator black comedy progresses towards its inevitable conclusion.

It's harmless enough, with the lovely but obnoxious Kate making a most elegant haunting spirit as she tries to warn off her fiance's new potential girlfriend, a psychic offering to help him move on with his life.

The uniformly good-looking cast add gloss and shine but there's little romantic chemistry and very few laughs to be had - and Eva might do best to stick to the world of glamorous soaps.
