DVD Reviews
Nelson Mandela
A remarkable documentary about a remarkable man, this DVD not only illustrates what Mandela did for racial equality in South Africa but also shows what impact he had on individuals during his fascinating life.
It features moving interviews with his daughter - who grew up without her father when he was in prison, only to have to share him with the South African people when he was let out.
It also features a racist prison officer, whose values and ideologies were transformed when he had to guard Mandela.
And then there's the HIV sufferer who gained the help he needed from Mandela in his plight to fight HIV and Aids.
A fitting recognition of Mandela in his 90th year.
