The Water Horse ****
 |
| Loch lively Nessie tale is monster fun |
A BOY discovers a mysterious egg at the edge of a loch and hatches a plan to keep the funny critter that emerges as a pet.
Little does he realise how big a beastie his Water Horse is to become. He soon discovers that it's slightly tricky trying to keep a giant plesiosaur hidden from your mum.
He smuggles it back into the loch, but this is wartime and the army is on the lookout for German submarines...
Based on the novel by Dick King-Smith this is an utterly delightful family film.
Children will love everthing about this film.
Adults will love the cosy, imaginative, pre-computer world this film conjures up. Enchanting.
