The Bucket List (12) Warner Home Video ***

I DON'T know... it's hardly a revolutionary idea for a film, is it?

Well, is it? Two dying men compile a list of must-dos which they'd quite like to tot up before carking it. Sounds like something that must have been done to death (guffaw) but I can't recall anything along those lines.

So our old coots are Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freemen, each of whom offers his usual, typecast characterisation which demands sympathy and provides light-hearted japes.

So nothing really happens outside the box marked "heartwarming buddy comedy" but that's no reason to slate the thing. At the very least, it's a triumph of competence.
