Redacted (15) Optimum ****
THE pyrotechnics and SFX team might not have had a lot to do in the making of Redacted, but that just shows you don't need them to make a war film that can blow your mind.
Inspired by true events, this movie is centred around a small group of American soldiers and alternates their points of view with that of the media and the local Iraqi people - all of whom are overwhelmed by the stresses of a highly questionable war.
Uniquely, this story is told through soldiers' video diaries, CCTV footage, news reports and video sharing websites from Iraq and the US.
It's tense, shocking and will challenge the way we see and accept events in our world - don't miss it.
