CAPTAIN’S Log, Stardate 07.2008: Starfleet Command has directed Lifetime to hit warp factor five and boldly go ahead with the area’s best free magazine for the active over 50s.

With that in mind we have none other than Captain James T Kirk of the Starship Enterprise directly addressing Lifetime readers as Hollywood actor William Shatner talks about his new autobiography, Up Till now.

And just to make sure Lifetime is as Fab as ever, we spend five minutes with Beatle Paul McCartney ahead of his triumphant recent homecoming show in Liverpool, Europe’s Capital of Culture.

The stellar line up continues with news of rock ‘n’ roll legend Chuck Berry, ever-youthful Californian psychedelic popsters Flaming Lips and TV’s Roy Walker, legendary presenter of Catchphrase, all appearing at Camp Bestival, the family-orientated festival of fun, funk and frolics at Lulworth Castle this month.

And with all your usual favourites from fashion to food and gardening to going out, we’re sure you’ll plenty in Lifetime to last you all month.
