Getting vocal about dinner

Following a rapturous reception from more than 100 diners during its debut in March, An Evening of Opera makes a dramatic return to Bournemouth restaurant, The Print Room, on Tuesday with an expanded cast of internationally celebrated performers.

This evening, run in association with Dorset Opera, offers an evening of epicurean delights combining some of the UK's most talented vocalists, fine wines and Italian foods.

As diners sit beneath crystal chandeliers, they will be treated to a uniquely personal opera experience as Andrew Slater (baritone), Colin Judson (tenor), Rachel Nicholls (soprano) and Caroline D'Cruz (accompanist) deliver operatic favourites while meandering from table to table.

Roderick Kennedy, artistic director of Dorset Opera - a company which critics describe as: "Rivalling Welsh National Opera and Opera North" - says: "Due to the tremendous success of the debut event we're pulling out all the stops by showcasing four of our most talented and experienced performers. Nowhere else can you enjoy such an intimate opera dining experience in such appropriately dramatic surroundings."

Dorset Opera's next major production will be Bizet's The Pearl Fishers at Blandford, July 24-26.
